OUR REASON WHY

Given the same power input, the fastest rider is the one with the lowest drag.

We produce the most aerodynamic clothing possible to help you achieve your best performances. Every piece of Rule 28 clothing is made to be the best on the market. Thoroughly researched, with all data made available to read so you know you're not buying marketing hype, but real performance kit.

HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT

PERFORMANCE - ABOVE ALL

We are not a mass market brand. We don't make cafe kit. Many brands treat their race kit as secondary to their mass market range. For Rule 28, performance is our priority, at any cost. Most World Tour teams ride kit that is not available to the public. To their sponsors, this high end niche is not a priority.

To us this seems totally backwards. What you get from us is the very best we have. We don't sponsor any World Tour teams, but to date, more than half of them, including Men's and Women's Tour De France Champions, have bought our kit because it outperforms what they are provided by sponsors.

WHERE IT BEGAN

making what we couldn't find

2017 is where it all began: 3 university friends tinkering with aero testing, equipment and clothing. For many years, time trial skinsuits had come on leaps and bounds, from simple one fabric garments into suits with different fabrics placed in specific areas for aerodynamic effect. Ribbed fabrics on the arms helped reduce aerodynamic drag by tripping the boundary layer of air, to help reduce the pressure drag acting on the arm.

But no one had considered the simple sock. Similar in shape and orientation to the upper arm, we theorised that what worked on a skinsuit sleeve would work even better on the lower leg. Aero socks were born.

4 pairs ofAero Socks- the first of their kind. These were worn by Team KGF, later HUUB-Wattbike, as they shook up track cycling with their novel team pursuit approach. Demand for the socks led to initial pre-order runs selling out before officially hitting the shelves, a pattern that continued for 18 months. By the end of 2018, we finally found partners able to match our need for precision and quality when producing highly technical garments.

In the years since we kept the same ethos of 'if we can, then why not' when it comes to product development and the pursuit of the fastest kit possible.
